MITE celebrates foundation-cum-cultural day in Kohima

Modern Institute of Teacher Education (MITE), Kohima celebrated its 6th foundation -cum-cultural day on March 1, organized by the Cultural Club and assisted by the other clubs of MITE at the college auditorium. The function was graced by dean, Modern College, Kohima, Kaikho Losii as the guest of honour.
Speaking on the significance of the day, managing director, MITE, Pelee Hekha narrated the journey of the institute since the foundation on March 1, 2012 till date. He stressed on the need to bring quality education as envisioned by the founder of the institute, late Dr S. Hekha Mao. The first session was chaired by Vigholi K.Sumi, student-teacher and the welcome address was delivered by Temjenliba.
Guest of honour, Kaikho Losii delivered the speech where he mentioned that every student- teacher should be proud of the institute as the institute was one of the best in Nagaland producing excellent result consistently. 
The second session began with a speech on “our culture our identity” by assistant professor, R. Mangam Konyak, where she briefed that every account of our culture defines our identity. The celebration continued with dramas on “child labour”, “corruption” and special item presented by MITEANS ROCK. Modern attire show was also showcased. 
James Basnet and the Band, a renowned International gospel band presented some of their hit songs and testimonial enchanting the audience. The programme concluded with a note of appreciation from Zubeni Nguille.
