Waiting shed inaugurated at Apoji village

A waiting shed at Apoji village under Sitap range was inaugurated by divisional forest officer, Tuensang Dr. Sentitula under FDA 2015-16 on February 28.

Chief guest Dr.Sentitula in her speech, stated, “the real and true development begins the moment one realizes the need for change.” She said that pro-activeness and co-operation by the villagers lay the path for development. Calling and challenging the villagers for active participation and initiatives Dr. Sentitula said blessing always came with responsibility and as Christians everyone has been called to be faithful stewards.

Village Council, chairman Buchang highlighted that their village was established in 2005 and accordingly got the government recognition in the year 2012. He also mentioned that till date no government department had ever visited and no development activity been ever carried out in their village. The chairman expressed heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the forest department for bringing continual blessing to the villagers.

ACF, Rajesh, encouraged the villagers to work in coordination to protect the forest and wildlife. Ranger Ailong, also mentioned the forwardness of the villagers by devoting their time and energy and selflessly working for the community.

Earlier invocation was said by pastor Mandok, VDB secretary, A. Hamlang delivered the welcome address.
