Deputy speaker NLA inaugurates agri link road

The newly constructed, ‘Jenangsanger Nangnong
Agri Link Road’, of Ungma village, was inaugurated, Saturday, by deputy speaker, Imtikumzuk as the chief guest. While addressing the gathering, at the site of the Nangnong River, Imtikumzuk stated that “the development and growth of Mokokchung town
with a staple economy, will benefit the whole district”, more so the immediate neighbouring villages, like Ungma. He said Ungma village can play an important role for the upliftment of the economy, by way of providing the town with the ready supply of organic products, which he said, was in great demand.
The chief guest opined that, in order to achieve this strategy, connectivity was very important, especially to the water sources. Nangnong river, being one of the biggest tributary to the Dikhu river, the necessity was felt to connect the river to the cultivation land areas, he added.
Speaking on behalf of the Ungma village council, Tatar Imli Imsong thanked the deputy speaker of NLA, Imkumzuk for his farsightedness in facilatiting the construction of the much needed, ‘Jenangsanger Nangnong Agri Link Road’. The Agri Lingk Road was dedicated by pastor, Ungma Baptist Church Rev.Dr. Noklen. While the function was conducted by tatar S Temsu Longkumer and the benediction was said by tatar Raren Jamir. A traditional folk song was presented by the Jenangsanger council members.
