Two-day Intensified Malaria Control Project-3 (IMCP-3) re-training of field supervisors for Nagaland was held on February 27 and 28, at Development Association of Nagaland (DAN).
Resource persons of the programme were DVBO Dimapur district Dr. Moa Jamir, NVBDCP Dimapur district, lab technician Asangla, regional project manager Stephen Gangmei, regional logistical officer, Khwairakpam Kanta and regional officer from Caritas India regional program unit Guwahati Hirak Goswami.
The team trained 26 field supervisors for Dimapur, Mon, Mokokchung and Wokha District.
At the training programme, resource persons encouraged the participants to use IEC materials during BCC activities for better and effective understanding.
The two days training focused on malaria life cycle, malaria diagnosis and treatment, vector control methods such as prevention, chemical control, source reduction and biological control were also delivered during the training programme.
