DTCC organizes NTCP at Wokha

The District Tobacco Control Cell (DTCC) under the National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP) organised a school awareness programme at Government Higher Secondary School Wokha on March 23.

District Nodal Officer NTCP Wokha, Dr. Meribeni Odyuo presented the topic on harmful effect of tobacco and COTPA 2003 and Abeni Kikon stressed on the role of school children in combating the tobacco menace in our society. 

Altogether 630 Students participated in the programme. Since the inception of the National Tobacco Control Programme in Wokha district, awareness programmes in 26 schools have been conducted so far.
