“Paint for Peace” is an initiative led by We Are Young Foundation supported by Foundation for Social Transformation for engaging children and youth from marginalized communities to ensure active participation of children in peace building and development by enabling them internalizing various life skills they could use.
Over the past two days here in Wokha, children have expressed their understanding and voiced out their opinions on peace and conflict in this region through a huge mural paint on walls in the school wall. This was the first workshop in Nagaland with Libemo Memorial School (LMS) Wokha and as a part of the initiative WAY had engaged with children and youth from Assam also.
The organization plans to reach out to more schools in the district of Wokha in days to come and inviting schools to collaborate in this noble initiative.
