Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC) organised its first “men conference” from April 21-23 at CBCC Mission Centre, T. Chikri, Pfutsero.
A press note by CBCC executive secretary, Dr. Vezopa Tetseo stated that men numbering 1610 registered from 99 churches, with about 2000 people in and around Pfutsero town attended the conference.
Apart from discussing various topics under “righteous living”, the release stated that the conference deliberated on clean election and adopted several resolutions. In the conference resolved to unanimously give their best to live a righteous life in Christ. It also resolved to follow the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) and Chakhesang clean election movement (CCEM) guidelines and to support and work towards clean election.
The conference resolved to commit in electing God-fearing leaders in the forthcoming Nagaland state general election. It also resolved to “stand against any political ideology/party that worked against and suppress Christians”. It committed to take care of God’s creation, plant trees and preserve flora and fauna.
Those who had attended the conference voted and signed clean election pledge card on April 23. Gospel speakers were Rev. Dr. V. K. Nuh, Rev. Khrutsoi Luruo, Rev. Dr. Vezopa Tetseo, Rev. Dr. Tseibu Rutsa and the resources persons were Neichute Doulo, Vekhoneyi Venuh, and Khriehuzo Lohe.
