Sümi theological asso conference begins

Sümi Theological Association (STA) 20th session yearly conference got underway on Friday at Yehemi Baptist Church.
Speaker of the session, mission secretary of SBAK Aizuto Rev. Vitoshe Aye, preceded his sermon doing a visual presentation of SBAK mission projects. 
He urged the young people to participate in Mission of Jesus by understanding the “value of soul” and cultivating “passion for Soul” to overcome barriers in mission participation and to disciple the world by heralding the graciousness of Jesus to many unheard nations. Exhorting the theological students, recipient of Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Award, Hotoshe Awomi, assistant head master, Kilomi, stressed on the progress the world was witnessing where both good and evil were prevalent and remarked that goodness would always triumph and today’s students was responsible for it. 
He also encouraged servants of God and theological students to fight against corruption and bring healing and peace in our society by being faithful and striving for excellence in relation to spiritual and physical life in our society by being an example.
The service also marked the dedication of a theological Journal titled “Contextualizing Theology” by Rev Ghukhevi Katty, chairman of Pastors’ Conference for God’s glory. In the opening session, theological students from Sümi Baptist Church Mokokchung performed a curtain raiser conveying the message through choreography, on behalf of the hosting church, Akukau (GB) Nihevi welcomed the congregation and the program concluded with benediction by Pastor Shighoi, Satoi Town. Altogether delegates from 103 churches and 30 theological colleges are attending the conference.
