GPRN/NSCN United Sangtam Region (USR) and GBs of Longkhim Town held a joint meeting at its Headquarters Longkhim town on May 6, 2017.
MIP of GPRN/NSCN in a statement said that the GBs of Longkhim town have affirmed that the Nagas of Nagaland must decide their future first while maintaining emotional integration with the rest of the Nagas in Indian state and beyond. “The historical rights and political aspirations for the future generation must be decided by the Nagas of Nagaland alone”, said the statement. The GBs also viewed that unification and peace alone was the ultimate way for solution of the long vexed Naga political problem. They therefore, urged the rest of the Nagas to come forward for peace and unity and a solution which will be acceptable to all the Nagas.
The representatives of the GPRN/NSCN in their brief note expressed the position of the government. The representatives of the GPRN/NSCN were- T. Sekhaba RAO, USR, Nangshiba, Dy Kilonser, Ritsa, Secretary to Envoy to the collective leadership, Atsoba Region Secy, Khadiba Leacy, Makhamba Leacy and Makhi Razupeyu and the representatives of the GB’s are Tinu R GB, Imkong GB, Munguba GB and Helep GB.
