Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Longleng under ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Nagaland centre organized training cum demonstration programme on April 22, at Yachem village, Longleng.
The programme was conducted under AICMIP on Mushroom. The farmers were trained on scientific cultivation of oyster mushroom and practical demonstration by SMS (plant protection) E. Lireni Kikon. Lecture on scientific cultivation of large cardamom was delivered by SMS (Horticulture) K. Lily Rangnamei, where she emphasized on selecting good and disease free variety and to maintain proper spacing.
During the interaction programme, one SHG is selected to construct low cost mushroom production unit under TSP on Mushroom.
Spawn and poly bag were distributed to all the trainees. Altogether, 20 female farmers attended the day long programme.
