The sub divisional education officer (SDEO) Tseminyu along with JEO, AEO and TOTs undertook an inspection and supervision tour to all areas of the division from February 2 to April 4.
During the tour, the team held meetings at all places with the VEC/SMC members, village council members, women leaders, students leaders, village youth leaders and teachers.
The visiting officials stressed on the decreasing trend of enrolment in Government schools despite efforts to make education easy, accessible and affordable by opening schools at all villages and providing free text books, uniforms and Mid Day Meal.
Valuable feedbacks, concerns and issues raised by the community leaders were collected for follow up action.
Accordingly, all teachers’ meeting on the theme “retrospection and rededication” was convened on April 25 at Tseminyu Town hall wherein SDEO Tseminyu, Orenponi Lotha, spoke on the theme.
SDEO asked the teachers to love their job and rededicate their service towards the students.
Mathew K.J shared about teaching – learning process in the meeting.
Chegeseng Kath, AEO presented the ways and means to build good rapport and healthy relation with the community and the stakeholders.
The teachers also shared their views and suggestions during the discussion for improvement of schools under the block.
A resolution to that effect was adopted after the meeting.
Earlier, the meeting was led by Soti Tep, TOT and invocation was pronounced by
Kewalo Kent, HM, GHS Phenshunyu.
