Ex-servicemen rally held in Zakhama Military Station

An ex-servicemen rally was organized for Kohima, Phek, Kiphire, Wokha and Zhuneboto districts by the Red Shield Division in co-ordination with Rajya Sainik Board of Nagaland on May 5 in Zakhama Military Station.
ESM, Welfare Officer of Zakhama Brigade col Neeraj Dhawan in his opening address extended a warm welcome to the veterans, Veer Naris and their dependents.
SM, VSM (Retd), secretary Rajya Sainik Board Brig K K Ray Choudhary highlighted on the effort of the state govt to ameliorate the conditions for ex-servicemen.
The Veer Naris and the World War II veterans present at the rally were also felicitated. Numerous stalls were put up by the Army and Rajya Sainik Board to update on ESM regarding schemes and policies pertaining to their welfare. A Pensioner Grievance Cell was also established to address pension related issues.
The highlight of the rally was the establishment of ‘Suvigya Portals’ which was instrumental in resolving many ESM pension issues. A medical camp was also organized.
