Farewell-cum- felicitation programme for outgoing Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) Thungbemo Patton was organized Thursday, at Chumukedima Town Council (CTC) hall.
Delivering farewell speech, outgoing EAC, Thungbemo Patton apologized for his weaknesses during his tenure. He also assured that he would take the pride and memories that the town had extended during his stay. He said that the experiences would enable him to serve the public better in the coming days.
He requested the gathering to continue to live in unity saying “When an area becomes peaceful, Nagaland will also turn peaceful” thereby he asked them to start taking initiative.
He also asked them to start encouraging, complimenting and appreciating one another rather than complaining and comparing each other so that as an individual and community “we” would be able to move forward.
He further challenged the gathering to extend cooperation and support for the incoming officers and to uphold the good memories.
Speaking at the occasion, Chumukedima Area GB Association (CAGBA) president, Tokishe Achumi congratulated Patton for being appointed as SDO (C) Tuensang and wished him the best in the years to come.
He also impressed upon the good deeds that Patton had extended to uplift the society for a better tomorrow.
Quoting” Everything has its own time” Chumukedima Area village Council Association (CAVCA), chairman Razouvotuo Chatsu pointed that outgoing EAC, Thungbemo Patton had created a record of bringing the union, association and youths to come together under one umbrella. He also described Patton as “Champion of building relationship” and, further extended God’s blessing upon him.
Various GBs, associations, union members and leaders felicitated the outgoing EAC and delivered short speeches applauding the initiative and contributions of Patton during the programme. They also assured that the seeds Patton had planted would bear good fruits even in the years to come.
Earlier, invocation prayer was pronounced by CRC, Chumukedima town pastor Khrielie Zhekhru, special song was presented by Neiwele Therie and later the programme ended with a mass prayer where benediction was pronounced by head GB, Chumukedima town Kelenguzo Kuotsu.

Medziphema: In a similar programme, outgoing ADC (C) Medziphema, Sara. S. Jamir was accorded farewell by the ADC staff of the sub-division on May 11. SDO ( C) Manpai Phom, has been promoted as ADC.
According to DIPR report, ADC Sara S Jamir lauded the officials of sub-division as well as NGOs for the co-operation during her tenure. SDO (Civil) Manpai Phom in his speech lauded ADC Sara S Jamir for guiding and leading him in solving issues and also in maintaining relationship with the public and various departments.
Short speeches were given by Alem head DB , Dr. Nsanthung Ezung principal of VFATI and GB and elders of Medziphema. The programme was chaired by Dokhrilie DB, invocation by Vanthongo Kikon DB.
