NIPReSA holds general meeting

The Nagaland Information & Public Relations Employees Services Association (NIPReSA) held its general meeting on May 18 at the DIPR Conference Hall, Kohima, DIPR informed.
Delivering the presidential address, resident NIPReSA, Dzuvinuo Theunuo gave a brief background on the history of the department, mentioning that IPR department was one of the oldest departments in the state. 
In her speech, Dzuvinuo also commented on the Cadre Review taken up for the department and also some of association’s activities.
She called upon all to rededicate “ourselves” as PR professionals and as public servants.
Director, IPR, Limawati Ao, while speaking on the occasion, said that the main objective of having an association was to look after the welfare and to safeguard the interest of the members. 
He was hopeful that the association would maintain its integrity and promote unity and cooperation among its members. 
He also urged all the members to work hard with renewed vigor, maintain consistency of regularity and sincerity wherever they posted.
The programme was chaired by general secretary, NIPReSA, Siewatho Nyusou.
Earlier, welcome speech was delivered by executive member, NIPReSA, Asangla Imsong.
Meanwhile, NIPReSA elected a new team of office bearers for the 2017-2019 tenure led by 
Asangla Imsong as president and Nongozo Rikha as general secretary along with three others.
