The Ashikho Daili Trust Award for Academic Excellence (ADTAFAE) 2017, organized by Mao Union Kohima (MUK) and Mao Students’ Union Kohima (MSUK) for HSLC/HSSLC toppers, was held at Model Christian College Lower AG, Kohima on Sunday.
President MUK, L. Athikho, in his welcome address congratulated the students, urgeing them to opt for Indian Civil Services.
MSUK president, Motuhrii introduced the ADTAFAE members to the audience.
The convener of ADTAFAE, Apele Daili, besides her brief report, also wished the successful students all the very best.
Rev.Fr. (Dr) Peter Salew while exhorting the students quoted Nelson Mandela and stated: “Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world” and that one must put one’s trust in God”.
Pf. Lophro Krichena SDC (MPS) also exhorted the students, saying: “The harder you work the luckier you get”.
A. Daili, chief patron of ADTAFAE also exhorted the students and later gave away the awards to the toppers and the successful students present on the occasion.
Earlier, invocation was offered by Catechist Dominic and the benediction was said by Rev. Losii Mao.
Special songs were presented by Kayia Robviina and Mariiphro Chakre. Kaiphro Sapriina spoke on behalf of the parents.

Later, vote of thanks was proposed by Edini Sapriina.
The programme was chaired by Akha-a pfoze. Around 200 people attended the function.
CECSD: Community Education Centre School Dimapur (CECSD) held a felicitation program for HSLC batch, 2017.
During the program, CECSD, director Subonenba Longkumer, congratulated the outgoing students on their success and exhorted the students to aim for greater heights and strive for excellence in all of their future endeavors.
He encouraged the students to have passion, zeal and to focus in the things that they d inorder to be successful.
Longkumer also challenged the students to be ready to face different circumstances and even failures as they venture into the next phase of their life.
Short speeches were also delivered by the teaching faculty, school board members and the outgoing students followed by special song by students of class 9.
The programme further followed presentation of awards and certificate by the Director.
The program was attended by parents, teaching faculty, Board members and administration staff of CECSD.
