Advisor to CM (Political) and working president NPF Huskha Yeputhomi urged the Phokhungri Public Area Organisation (PAPO) for a change in mindset to bring out the best through change in social life and not by depending only on backward quota .
Addressing the 16th general conference of PAPO at New Thewati village on Friday, Huskha said “if we cannot manage our village how can we expect to manage the Nation, we have to start from our community by co-operating with the government.”
Emphasising on corruption in village education system in Nagaland he stated that the world was moving too fast with technology that they needed to catch up with the other tribe and be better than others in the field of education and social life.
Lamenting that certain element in the past had caused misunderstanding between Sumi and Pochury as it was never the intention of Sumi tribe to convert Pochury to Sumi.
He said that both the tribes should support and build good relation among the brothers for new generation so that one day there would be strong state .Urging that Pochury hoho should also sponser and promote their identity by creating literature and that Shilloi Lake is a gift from God to the Pochury tribe in particular and the Nagas in general.
Earlier the function was chaired by Thimu Feedhu president PACS, while invocation prayer was done by Pastor Bethel UPC, folk song was presented by New Thewati womenfolk, address by the chief guest, vote of thanks by Mr Sihalu Feedhu , joint secy and Benediction by Pastor, Bethlehem Church NT.
