Street play on adolescent health issues

Phek district conducted an awareness and sensitization program through street play on 25th May 2016 on Adolescent Health issues.
The street play was performed by a group of youth from Police Baptist Church DEF Phek which was organised by District Health Society Phek.
With an aim to educate and sensitized the general public on the Adolescents and Reproductive Sexual Health (ARSH) and thus prevent the adolescent from problems like teenage pregnancy,unsafe abortions,HIV/STIs,anaemia etc. The youth members conducted a street play in two locations on the topic danger of early pregnancy and Right age of marriage. A health talk was also highlighted to the audience on the dangers of early pregnancy which is associated with a lot of risk for both the mother and child which causes physical health problems as well as social and psychological problems.
