
North East Rural Livelihood Project (NERLP) (World Bank Funded) inaugurated multipurpose marketing shed with storage facility and toilet at Kiding village, Chare Block, Tuensang on May 24 by S C Raj Shekar Agricultural and Natural Resource Management consultant World Bank in presence of Shivaji N Choudhury Livelihood Specialist, national consultant FAO, Jusmita Borah project manager NRM & Env, Dr. Jitendra Singh asst. project manager NRM & Env, Temsutoshi Longkumer district project manager, DPMU Tuensang and other officials. Raj Shekar said that the multi purpose marketing shed constructed under North East Rural Livelihood Project Community Development Plan (CDP) would help the villagers in improving their livelihood by upscaling their sale through organised marketing. Kidding village located near National Highway connecting Tuensang with rest of the world has high prospect of selling their produce from fields to the commuters. He also praised the Community Development Group (CDG) for coming with innovative idea to provide storage facility and toilet for the convenience of the villagers and costumers.
World Bank Team and NERLP officials also visited other CDGs, SHGs, village federations and beneficiaries of Piggery, Tea cluster working under NERLP at New Tsaru, Chare, Chungtor, Angangba and Chingmelen villages during their visit.
