Farmers trained on poultry rearing

A three-day program for rural economic upliftment through livestock and poultry rearing was organised by Animal Husbandry & Vety Services C.V.O Kohima from May 23 to 25 at the Pfiichama village council hall, sponsored by NEPED Kohima Branch. 
During the training, deputy CVO Dr Joseph. M. Angami and Dr Vilatuo Felix Rutsa POU member NEPED informed that the programme was aimed to promote the importance of rearing livestock in village/rural areas especially where the environment was suitable for breeding of piggery, poultry etc. 
Dr Vivotuo Miachie-o CVO Kohima also briefed the village farmers about the importance of self sustenance in order to uplift the rural economy through cattle rearing, piggery, poultry and other livestocks.  
The technical team comprising of Dr. Atouzo Pienyii, Dr. Menguzenuo, Dr George, Dr Keduozol stressed about the prospect of rearing pigs, poultry, rabbits and goatry and also shared their experience and technical advices. 
Dr Elizabeth Yhome VS vaccinated around 70 pigs and 20 dogs while  Dr Vilatuo Felix Rutsa wrapped up the three-day program. 
Pfilchama Village Council also extended its gratitude to the Animal Husbandry & Vety Services Kohima and NEPED Kohima Branch for their valuable services towards the villagers.
