Rongmei Community Welfare Development Society (RCWDS) of Zeliangrong Village, Sachu Colony and Nagagaon organized a felicitation program for the successful students of Class X and Class XII on May 27 at its Headquarter, Tangnajeiluang, Zeliangrong Village Dimapur.
OSD Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority, Johnny Ruangmei graced the programme as chief guest.
Speaking at the programme Johnny Ruangmei congratulated the successful students and quoting “beginning with the end in mind” encouraged them to envisage the future and to prepare for future.
Exhorting the students to concentrate on their studies for better prospect he said, for every outstanding students/persons there was room. He also encouraged the students never to be satisfied with marks or percentage that they got, but to work harder. Acknowledging and congratulating the Rongmei Community for organizing the programme Johnny also urged the community to help the upcoming entrepreneurs.
Altogether 17 HSLC students and 12 HSSLC students were felicitated.
Catechist St. Francis Church ZLR Village Paul Pamei pronounced a special prayer for all the successful students.
The program was chaired by Lanilu Kamson and Gaitangliu Gonmei, invocation by Dimapur Rongmei Baptist Church, Pastor Meingandai Gangmei, welcome speech chairman RCWDS Ambrose Malangmei, Tingkao Ragwang Chapriak Tangnajeilong presented a folk dance, special numbers were presented by Kathuang Pamei, Naga Orpheus Hunt Finalist 2014 and Kubanglung Pamei and vote of thanks was delivered by secretary RCWDS Gaidatpou Phaomei.
