Dimapur police crime reports

The East Police Station, Dimapur received information regarding a Haryana registered truck being hijacked by miscreants and the driver Ramesh Kumar reportedly abducted on April 28 and the owner of the Truck based in Haryana received ransom demand of Rs.10 Lakhs for release of the truck and the Driver.
According to SDPO/PRO, the Dimapur Police through its various units put extensive effort and recovered the truck from 7th mile area adjacent to the Highway on May 2 and the victim was also rescued from Tenyiphe-A village the same day and had arrested two persons in this connection.
PRO stated that the Police arrested Jacob Deo Poumai son of Shele Deo Poumai of Phuba Village, Senapati, resident of Model Village involved in the crime and on May 3 arrested the prime accused Nihara @ Hasina Begum wife of late Islam Ali of Hawraghat village, Nagaon, Assam, resident of Model Village.
PRO stated that more people were found to be involved in the crime and efforts to arrest them were underway.
Dimapur Police also rushed to Darogapathar on information that miscreants were trying to break open an ATM Booth in 2 ½ Mile, Dimapur, at around 3:30 p.m on May 9 and found the teller machine damaged and miscreants already fled.
According to SDPO/PRO, search of the area led to the arrest of the miscreants from the Darogapathar village area. 
The arrested persons were identified as Inavito Achumi son of Toshika Achumi, resident of Purana Bazaar, Rodip Kachari son of Thiren Kachari, resident of Naharbhari, Hokito Sumi son of Kishehi Sumi, resident of Naharbari and Veyikhu Ayemi son of late Zhezhuvi, resident of Naharbari. 
Vehicle and implements used for committing the crime were also seized from their possession, PRO added.
In another incident, the AET of Dimapur Police on May 8 arrested two persons identified as Vikuto Zhimomi son of Honito Zhimomi, resident of Neisatou Colony, Dimapur and Nitovi Zhimomi son of Hesheto Zhimomi, resident of Niu Colony, Dimapur while they were distributing tax slips of the NPGN NNC (NA) to various garage owners. 
According to SDPO/PRO both the arrested persons were reportedly members of the NPGN NNC (NA).
Similarly, Dimapur Police on May 5 arrested two persons from New Market area after they were found collecting money from the vendors.
The arrested persons were identified as Moameren Jamir son of Alemjungshi, resident of Forest Colony, Dimapur and Atoka Ayemi son of late Yeheto, resident of Sematilla, Dimapur.
In another case three persons including two women were arrested by the AET of Dimapur Police on May 4 while they were collecting money from fruit vendors in New Market area.
The arrested persons were identified as Ikeya Katty son Tovishe, resident of Niu Colony, Dimapur, Botoli Awomi daughter of Toniho, resident of Burma Camp and Viliho Zhimo wife Nandalal Prasad resident of Kevijau colony, Dimapur.
They were reportedly members of the GPRN/NSCN, PRO added.
