Election Department Mon with District Icon Miss Lemei, Miss Mon, 2016 organized SVEEP campaign on clean electoral roll and clean election on June 10, at Chenwetnyu village.
District Icon, Miss Mon 2016, Lemei encouraged the youngster, who have attained 18 years to enrolled in electoral census and pointed out that women have equal right to vote.
AEO Mon, Aketo spoke on clean electoral roll and clean election. He shared some serious causes manipulating during election, like money muscle powers, public service commitment, contract work commitment, used of alcohol etc. and urged people not to sale their vote, but to choose their right leader for their future.
He also stated that the Election Commission of India has lunch special drive for enrollment of young eligible left electors, particularly in 18-19 age group from July 1.
Aketo encouraged the youngsters to enrolled in electoral roll in right time and check their electoral census time to time to ensure their enrollment in electoral census. He also appealed the people to delete proxy and bogus votes from electoral rolls. He also highlighted on Electoral Gender ratios, vote casting percentage of 2013 and 2014 election of 45th A/C Tehok.
The programme was chaired by EAC Mon sadar, in charge of SDO(C) Chen Hq Yanithung N Ngullie and later vote of thanks was delivered by UDA Election Office Mon Wansa. GBs, DBs, Officers, church members, village elders, youth from Chenwetnyu village and surrounding villages attended the campaign.
