International handshake concert to stage at Hanoi Vietnam

The 6th International edition of “Handshake concert” an initiative of the Rattle and Hum Music society (RHMS) organized in association with the Embassy of India Hanoi and Eclectic North East and supported by North Eastern council, ministry of DONER would be held on June 17 at Hanoi Vietnam. This was announced by RHMS president Theja Meru during press conference held at Dream Café Kohima also attended by finance secretary RHMS Neingulie Nakhro and vice president RHMS Rüguokhrietuo Kesiezie.
Meru said this handshake concert is being organized as part of the celebrations commemorating the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Vietnam and third international yoga day. He said this year concert, altogether 17 artistes from the region North East and 5 RHMS officials including Rida and the musical folks from Meghalaya, Charaideo Sanskritik Gosthi from Assam and from Nagaland Polars Lights, Vekhriti and Vetahulu would perform in the concert.
Asked on the impact of the handshake concert, RHMS members said this concern has encouraged, promote and influence many local musicians in various ways, given the opportunity to share the platform with the renowned international musicians, get creativity through exposure, popularize our people, musicians and cultures and others.
Members also highlighted some of the achievements through this concert that led to signed MOU educational exchange programme between Kohima science college and a university from Thailand, invited to perform at Korea this October for the second time and also this August through the initiative of RHMS to perform at Russia V-ROS biggest rock festival of Russia by our local musicians. Members through handshake concert the opportunities keep coming for our local musicians.
RHMS expressed its acknowledgement to the governor of Nagaland P.B. Acharya for his patronage towards this concert.
