District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Mokokchung in collaboration with the District Home Guards & Civil Defence, organised “one day refreshers course on Community First Responder(CFR)”, Thursday at the Town Hall, with DG, Jail & Home Guards, Rupin Sharma, IPS, as special mentor.
Addressing the trainees (ToTs), Rupin Sharma said they shoulder great responsibility as they are entrusted to save lives in times of uneventful eventualities. He cautioned them to be meticulously trained as things could go wrong if they do not heed to the training. Stating that disasters would not occur with a warning, he said the public should be sensitised on basic safety measures.

Sunepmenla also delivered a short speech and demonstrated a few techniques to stay safe during disasters at home.
The welcome note was delivered by DDMO, Mokokchung, T Wangshi Jaimr and the vote of thanks was proposed by ADC, Sachin Jaiswal.
