The administrator of Wokha Town Council has informed all footpath/street vendors that, as per government order No.DMA/ESTT-14/2009 (PT-1) 42 dated May 31, 2017 and the recent order of WTC office vide No.WTC/OR/2010/69 dated 11/06/2017 for prohibiting of selling of any articles on the footpath meant for various pedestrians.
Therefore all footpath/street vendors are informed that, no vendors would be allowed to sell any articles on the footpath/street; to keep all footpath in town clear for free and easy movement of pedestrians and to avoid any vehicular accidents in the near future. Anybody found selling any articles on the footpath/street would be viewed seriously as per rule and the articles would be seized and confiscated.
