2-lane work: RLA demands compensation

Rengma Landowners Association (RLA) while welcoming the decision to construct the two-lane along NH-61, however asked the PWD department to first pay the compensation in order to carry out the work. 
In a letter to the CE PWD, RLA president Hilo Tep and vice president, Nophato Tep said the RLA during its meeting on July 24 at Rengma Hoho office, Tseminyu resolved to seek compensation of Rs. 150 per sq.feet. 
It further cautioned that the RLA will not allow the department to start the work if compensations are not paid to the landowners.
