Awareness on HIV & AIDS, substance abuse

One day awareness programme on Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) & Acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) and substance abuse with the trainees (pre-service and in-service) was held on July 27, at District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Mon. 
In the programme, SMO, District Hospital Mon(DHM), Dr. Supongmeren, spoke on the topic “HIV & AIDS-prevention, treatment and myths and misconception” while OST counselor District Hospital Mon, Ingaupeule Zeliang, spoke on “the basics of substance abuse”.
DAPCU,DPO Longyim Tzudir, thanked the District Institute of Education and Training  Mon for organising the programme. Tzudir further assured  that as teachers, they will be messengers in educating youngsters to combat HIV & AIDS. 
The programme was attended by trainees along with faculties. Earlier, welcome address was delivered by DIET Mon, vice principal, B. Rolland.
