JNV Zbto conducts ‘21st regional youth parliament’

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Lumami, Zunheboto conducted the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti  (NVS) “21st regional youth parliament” at its campus on August 8 with assistant professor, department of Geography, Nagaland University Dr. Y.V. Krishnaiah as the chief judge and head GB Lumami village, Howoto and chairman, Kinito, Zaphumi village council as guests of honour.
Speaking on the occasion as chief judge of the competition, Dr. Y.V. Krishnaiah exhorted the participating students and the gathering to develop a spirit of self-discipline, tolerance of diverse opinions, righteous expression of views, and other virtues of a democratic way of life.
Earlier, Yogendra Akshay, principal I/C JNV Zunheboto delivered a welcome speech while Shailesh Kumar Dixit, PGT-History conveyed the vote of thanks. More than 20 students of JNV Zunheboto participated in the proceedings of the youth parliament. The youth parliament was aimed at helping students acquaint with practices and procedures of parliament, techniques of discussion and debate, and to develop in them qualities of leadership, art and skill of effective oratory.
