September 12, 2017 | by admin

Angami Catholic Youth Association (SFS Kohima town) observed a day of tradition ‘Tsazho Nyi’ on September 9 at Angami Public Organisation Hall with Khriehu Liezietsu, ex MLA as the chief guest.
Khriehu Liezietsu in his speech urged everyone to preserve the age old ethics and culture. He cited that with advancement taking place at a rapid rate we have very much overlooked our traditions today and therefore it is a reminder to everyone that we should be deeply rooted in our good traditional values as it serves as our distinct identity. He also lauded the association for keeping a day aside to relive ‘our’ tradition.
Traditional elderly blessings, folklores, demonstration of attires, folksongs from the men folk, women folk and youth folk were sung in the programme.
Senior catechist Vilasalie James pronounced the final prayer and concluded the programme.
The programme was chaired by Visazhünuo and Kevichütuo.  Invitees, patrons and well wishers of the association attended the programme.
