National Christian School Leadership Conference (NCSLC) North Eastern Region 2017 was hosted by Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) in collaboration with Livingstone Foundation Higher Secondary School (LFHSS), Dimapur on October 5 and 6.
Resource persons for the conference were, ACSI assistant VP-Global USA, Dr. David Wilcox, MBA senior partner, resolve consulting and director, ACSI Asia Pacific, Paul Campey and senior advocate of Guwahati High Court, Fr. Ravi Sagar.
Dr. David Wilcox while presenting conference overview gave an interesting insight into the perspective of Christian Schooling around the world. Paul Campey mainly dwelt on community governance of faith-based schools while a special session on the legal aspects of administering minority religion schools was led by Fr. Ravi Sagar.
Other topics discussed during the two-day event were – the main issues faced by Christian Schools in North East India and what are the things ACSI India could do to help the Christian schools and what commitments do Christian Schools in North East India share in common. The inaugural remark was given by chairman LFHSS, Andrew Ahoto.
The event was mainly held to bring together all the Christian schools across North East India under a common platform to formulate ways and means to constitute a North East India Chapter of the ACSI India. The ACSI conference was held for the 1st time in Nagaland wherein more than 45 schools from Nagaland, Assam, Manipur, Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh attended, which marked the beginning of a new era of Christian Schools Association in India.
