Miss Sümi 2017 organised by Sumi Totimi Hoho (STH) would be held on November 13 at Zunheboto coinciding with the 75 years platinum jubilee celebration of Zunheboto and Ahuna festival as well.
A press note by coordinator Miss Sümi 2017, Dr. Vihuto Asumi stated that the winner would be awarded with cash prize 75,000 and gift hampers, while first and second runners up would be awarded with cash prizes of 50,000 and 40,000 respectively along with gift hampers. Other subtitles would include miss photogenic, miss perfect 10, miss congeniality, miss flawless skin, miss beautiful smile, miss radiant hair, miss fluent Sütsah, best traditional attire and best ramp walk.
All contestants are to be Sümi between the age of 18-25 years with a minimum height of 5 feet 5 inches.
The grooming sessions would begin from October 8 till the main event where Kaheli Chophy, Miss India Nagaland 2017 and Vilokali Zhimomi Miss Nagaland would groom the contestants. Resource persons from fields like legal, social, religious, health, etc would also be speaking at the grooming sessions.
The contest would be held over four rounds – traditional round, modern ethnic round, designer wear round and formal round.
Winner of Miss Sümi and 1st runners up would represent Sümi community in Miss Nagaland beauty pageant 2017.
