Three-day Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM) “mega revival” concluded Friday evening with record gathering of around 17000 believers thronged Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung, to receive the blessings.
Delivering a sermon on the topic “Kibuba Onok Asentenshijang” (Lord revive us), Rev. Kilang Jamir, talked a person’s life without Christ and salvation.
He urged the congregation to become citizens of heaven as the mere citizenship on earth was short lived and would pass away after the person’s death.
Rev. Kilang called upon the congregation to let the Holy Spirit live inside each one of them, without which one was equivalent to just skeletons.
Stating that the end time was near and the second coming of Christ was approaching, he urged the people to embrace Christ as saviour.
Rev. Kilang also made an alter call where thousands walked forward in repentance and accepted Jesus Christ as their saviour.
Earlier in the crusade, some revival resolutions were proposed to be forwarded to the ABAM for adoption. Some of the resolutions are: A two hour special prayer program is being proposed in the month of November or December in respective churches under ABAM to pray for repentance and thanksgiving. Keeping in mind the 150 years of ABAM to be celebrated in a few years, the “mega revival” was proposed to be continued every year according to area and range wise. Aos would continuously participate in reconciliation and peacemaking by the churches and ABAM.
