An array of renowned artistes including contemporary and local dialect singers, musicians and comedians from Ao community were brought together on a platform at DDSC stadium, Dimapur, Saturday; during the ‘Celebration of Ao Harmony’ event to give a special treat to music and art lovers of Dimapur city.
The event was organized by Dimapur Ao Lanur Telongjem (DALT).
Artistes for the concert included Waluniba Lemtur, Moajungla, Wapong Ozukum, Mangyang Kichu, Sashi & Asen, Wonder Wave, Tiameren Aier, Tsuza Imchen, Dreamz Unlimited, Anungba Sanglir, Marjo A Kichu and Toshimeren.
The singers and the lone instrumentalist gave rousing performances to the thousands of music lovers gathered at the venue, mesmerizing the crowd one after the other with their talents.
But no surprise, it was the Dreamz Unlimited that stole the show with their double power packed performances.
In one of their acts, they enacted a very common but unpleasant scene where Naga brothers get into trouble against each other over law keepers’ high handedness and ‘dada wannabes’ which made the stadium reverberate with laughter from the crowd.
What makes Dreamz Unlimited so irresistible is the way they get so comfortably absorbed in their act which makes it even eligible to be nominated for Oscar Awards.
Their performances are always followed by an ear piercing moral which is sure to penetrate even the most thick-headed people.
The event was compered by Sungkum Aier and Kathyinla Jamir while the special guest included A Chuba Ozukum, Aolemla Jamir and Temjen Toy.
Invocation was pronounced by Dimapur Ao Baptist Church youth director Jonshimanen while DALT president K Longri Imchen delivered the welcome address.
