Nepali Baptist Church Chumukedima youth department organises cultural programme

A cultural programme under the theme, “our culture is our identity” was organised by youth department of Nepali Baptist Church (NBC) Chumukedima on November 4. 

Delivering speech as special guest, Peren District Gorkha Union president, Ganesh Joshua Limbu, spoke on how culture plays an important role in life. He also encouraged the gathering to glorify God with their talents. 

NBC youth ministry informed that the programme aimed to strengthen friendship and to bridge the gap between the Gorkha community.

Altogether four Churches from Dimapur namely, Nepali Baptist Church Thahekhu, Duncun Town Nepali Baptist Church, Gorkha Christian Church Darogapathar and Gorkha Baptist Church Viola took part in the event.

Other special invitees were North Town Higher Secondary School Chumukedima, principal, B. B Chettri; Chumukedima Gorkha Union vice president, B. B Sewa; Chumukedima Gorkha Union, president, Gopal Lama; pastors, youth directors and presidents of different Nepali Churches of Dimapur.

The programme was chaired by NBC, youth director, Hannah Chettri; Dhan Maya Chettri invoked the God’s presence and Beckey Panthy, youth executive delivered vote of thanks while NBC Chumukedima, Pastor, Robert Alley said the benediction.
