
Parliamentary secretary Justice and Law, Er. Picto Shohe Sunday said that celebration of 25th anniversary was not only about showcasing the progress made by an institution in various fields but to renew our dedication to the Lord with more vigour and remain steadfast with prayers.
Er. Picto, who was also the founder member, board of governors of Trinity Theological College (TTC) said this during the 25th anniversary celebration of TTC at Thahekhu, Dimapur.
On the occasion, he acknowledged the members of the governing body, faculty including the past and the present students of the TTC for their contributions in brining laurels to the college.
He also recollected his long association with the college and how he was given the opportunity to serve the Lord as member of the governing board. “I was there when the foundation stone was laid in the year 1992”, he added.
Picto also said that there were many ups and downs in the earlier days, but with God on their side, the college could progress in the ministry of the Lord. He further lauded the TTC for introducing post graduate programme (M.Th).
Reminding that the institution was a pride for the Sumi community in particular and Naga people in general, he called for a concerted effort to make the college stride to greater heights.
Earlier, a special prayer for the college was said by executive secretary SBAK, Reverend. Hekugha Zhimo and the new M.Th programme was introduced to the congregation by academic dean TTC, Dr. Zakali Shohe. Message “my presence will go with you” was delivered by principal ETC Jorhat, Reverend. Dr. Akheto Sema. Principal TTC Reverend. Dr. Kavito Zhimo also felicitated the founding members, board members, donors, sponsors, etc.
In commemoration of the 25th anniversary, the college has also introduced post graduate programme (M.Th) and music programme.
The M.Th programme was dedicated by executive secretary WSBAK, Reverend. Dr. Hevukhu Achumi and music programme was dedicated by executive secretary SABAK, Reverend. Hotokhu P. Zhimomi.
The three-day celebration began on November 10, with the release of anniversary book and prayer by senior pastor Thilixu Baptist Church, Reverend. Dr. Yehevi Jimo.
