Sumi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu (All Sumi Students Union – SKK) along with district administration and police personals carried out verification drive on illegal immigrants on November 17 at Zunheboto town and nabbed 21 Inner Permit Line (ILP) defaulters.
In press release, SKK president, Ninoto Awomi, informed that during the intensive verification drive 21 ILP defaulters were nabbed, however not a single illegal immigrants were found. The release stated that SKK and district administration would continue to carry out surprise verification drive from time to time.
Meanwhile, SKK has directed all its range and village students union to be vigilant and further reiterated the emergency union assembly resolution which had entrusted the range student unions to carry out verification drive within their respective jurisdiction. SKK has appealed all the responsible to continue to extend full support and cooperation in the course of verification drive.
