All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union (ANHTU) has appealed the concerned department and government to find favourable solution to the suffering of the “discriminated teachers”.
In a press release, ANHTU president, Rometo Sema and general secretary, A. S. Yarthotngam, stated that 1379 Hindi teachers’ have not been paid their salaries from July 2017 till date.
It also added that some teachers have not received their salary for the month of May and June 2017.
ANHTU stated that as “daily wage earner” most of the teachers depended on their salaries for maintaining and functioning of their households. ANHTU also stated that with festive season approaching, teachers needed their salaries to meet their domestic requirements.
