Dimapur Police Commissioner’s office has issued a directive on altered traffic regulations. This order has been issued in view of the heavy traffic congestion within Dimapur town that has been compounded by the festive season rush. It should help ease the movement of vehicles during the daytime rush hours.
In a press note, Addl.DCP and PRO Dimapur police said that entry of heavy vehicles into Dimapur from Chumukedima police check gate will be restricted from 9 a.m. till 3 p.m. and entry of heavy vehicles from Purana Bazaar into city limits will be restricted from 9 a.m. till 3 p.m.
Further, entry of heavy vehicles into Dimapur from Dellai police check gate and Newfield police check gate will be restricted from 9 a.m. till 8 p.m. while entry of heavy vehicles from West Police Station – Dhobinalla Junction – Gurmukh Singh Road will be restricted from 8 a.m. till 8 p.m.
The order added that entry of heavy vehicle from Hotel Tragopan junction – Blue Hill Lane – Railway siding area – Kalibari road will be restricted from 8 a.m. till 8 p.m.
