Organizations flay Dec 10 killing

Various organizations have condemned the killing of Yangsenmong Sangtam of Yangzitong village, on December 10, near Nursing Training Institute at Singrijan by unknown persons.
ENPUD: Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Union Dimapur (ENPUD) called it an inhuman, barbaric and cold-blooded act of murder and expressed strong condemnation. ENPUD sent deepest condolences to the bereaved family and said the incident is most horrific and called on all to condemn it. The condemnation note, from ENPUD president M.C. Onbou Chang and General Secretary M. Jeange Yanglem, also appealed to the law enforcing agencies to arrest the culprits at the earliest and give befitting punishment.
YVSU: Yangzitong Village Students’ Union (YVSU) expressed shock at “the cold blooded murder” and said it was saddening and a great loss for the union that a good citizen “has been mercilessly murdered.” YVSU president president Muisela Sangtam and general secretary Tsalichum Sangtam said that the “inhuman act and heinous crime is intolerable” and should be condemned by all. They appealed to the government to expedite the investigations and book the culprit at the earliest. They further conveyed their deepest condolences and prayers that the Almighty God strengthens them in this time of grief and sorrow.
SPFDD & SUD: Sangtam People Forum, Dimapur District (SPFDD) & Sangtam Union Dimapur (SUD) jointly condemned “the inhuman and barbaric cold blooded murder”. The condemnation, jointly signed by SPFDD president Bitong Sangtam and SUD president Er. Hotongkyu Sangtam, also appealed to all right thinking citizens to condemn the inhuman act on one of their bona fide members.
They also extended their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.
YVSP: Yangzitong Village Suro Pumji (YVSP) has vehemently condemned the act and termed it “horrific and barbaric” and said that such a sickening act is sickening and unacceptable in any society, under any circumstance.
The condemnation note signed by YVSP chairman Bendang Mongzar and general secretary T.L. Liopi Sangtam, appealed to the law enforcing agencies to book and bring the culprit to justice at the earliest and urged that stringent actions be taken against the perpetrators so that it may serve as a warning to all.
They also called upon all right thinking citizens to condemn “such kind of an evil act and give them no space in our society”. They also expressed their condolences to the bereaved and prayed for the Almighty God to give them strength and solace.
