Kuki Inpi Nagaland (KIN) has condemned the kidnapping of Lalneineiw s/o Neithanglen Saiph, VDB Secretary of Khelma Village, Ahthibung Sub-Division of Peren District on November 25, 2017 by miscreant(s) and the ransom demand of 15 Lakhs.
The condemnation note from KIN information and publicity secretary, Richard Haolai, expressed shock over the kidnapping and said it was disturbing to the family and the people of the area, at a time when people were preparing to celebrate Christmas, adding that it had stolen the peace of the family, the villagers and the people of Ahthibung.
Condemning the incident they said that such actions were never expected or accepted in civilized society and lamented the kidnapping and the ransom demand from a villager who lived from hand to mouth. They appealed to the kidnapper(s) to unconditionally release the boy before Christmas and also requested the district administration and security forces to take immediate steps to secure his release at the earliest.
