WAYO celebrates silver jubilee

Western Angami Youth Organization (WAYO) celebrated its silver jubilee with businessman, Nibu Nagi as the chief guest at WAPO ground, Sechii Zubza on January 6.
In his address, Nagi lamented that Naga people lack professionalism and work culture and called upon the youths to work hard. 
He encouraged the youths to grab every opportunity and earn their livelihood instead of remaining idle at home. Nagi, who is a prominent businessperson, reminded those gathered that there was no lack of work for people who work hard.
Nagi then urged the youths not to only opt for government jobs but to venture into different areas and stand on their own feet. He said acquiring certificate or degrees without any practical skill would not get them anywhere in life. 
WAYO president, Neidilhoutuo Sechii, steering committee convenor Lhousarovi Paul Rino, first WAYo president, Viseto Nagi, Western Angami Public Organization (WAPO) president, Lhuphrevilie Rino, and Angami Youth Organization (AYO) president, Neinguvotuo Krose also spoke in the programme,
The inaugural function was led by co-convenor steering committee, Khrielievi Chiisi, invocation by Sechii Zubza Baptist Church Pastor Neivilhou Kuotsu, special song by Jotsoma BKK, celebration pledge was led by the leader, the chief guest released the silver jubilee magazine, folk dance was presented by Phetsu Kikou Club Khonoma while vote of thanks was said by member secretary steering committee, Aja Zinyii.
Earlier, the chief guest unveiled the silver jubilee monolith near ABCC Prayer Garden. The unveiling of monolith was led by convenor finance committee, T. Husie Lhousa, convenor monolith committee, Sedeneikho Shosahie highlight those gathered about the monolith, dedicatory prayer was said by CRC Sechiima Pastor Roziekolie Nipu followed by blowing of traditional horn.
In the cultural session, social and peace activist Niketu Iralu graced the programme as the special guest. Various traditional games and folk songs competition was held. Youth members from Western Angami villages, leaders of Angami frontal organizations, public and others attended the programme.
