Twenty five delegates from Nagaland participated in the two-day Global Investment Summit held in Guwahati. The summit was inaugurated by Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, on February 3.
The delegation from Nagaland were the winners of the “first cut competition” St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama and officials from YouthNet and the department of industries, tourism, Honey mission IT and Power, NEPED, NBRM NBDA and Zynorique Initiative.
According to a release by YouthNet, the summit showcases the manufacturing sector and the opportunity offered by the state of Assam in terms of export- oriented manufacturing and services to growing economies viz ASEAN and BNN countries.
The release stated that the students also shared that winning the competition helped boost their confidence and such opportunities must be given to more young people.
