HECS organises ‘Route to Roots poster competition’

Heritage Education and Communication Service (HECS) division of INTACH Nagaland chapter organised “route to roots poster competition”, an all-India event for school students of classes 6-9 on February 15 at circuit house Dimapur. 
INTACH Nagaland chapter state convenor, Sentila T. Yanger has informed that the competition was aimed at the global mission of promoting the spirit of appreciation, exploration and cultural education. It also informed that each student using a medium of their choice sketched or painted one unique aspect of their family, community, and heritage accompanied with a short write-up on the subject matter.
Altogether 63 students from the Delhi Public School, Christina Memorial Higher Secondary School, Bethesda Higher Secondary School, St. Mary Higher Secondary School, The Maple Tree School and Christian Higher School participated in the competition. 
INTACH further informed that the all-India competition will throw up 100 regional winners while 10 National winners will get to go on a trip to New Delhi and receive prizes. Trophies will also be awarded to all regional and national winners and certificates to all participants. 
INTACH Nagaland chapter acknowledged deputy commissioner, Sushil  Kumar Patel for permitting the use of circuit house premises, principals of all the participating schools, accompanying teachers who came with the students for the support and their co-operation.
