Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has directed all banks, school, colleges, business establishments, contracting firms or agencies, clinics or pharmacies, hostels, guest house, hotels, restaurants, tuition or coaching centres etc. under KMC jurisdiction to renew their trade permits or apply for fresh permits, before March 31. Failure to do so will attract penalties as per the Nagaland Municipal Act 2001 which may even lead to closure of defaulting establishments, KMC added.
