Expressing displeasure at the mob vandalism of PHC Akuluto and CHC Jalukie, the Nagaland in Service Doctors Association (NIDA) has asked the concerned district administration and police to nab the culprits at the earliest. NIDA in a condemnation letter by its vice president Dr. M C. Longai and general secretary, Dr. Imotemsu stated that physical and mental harassment was also meted out to doctors and staff in CHC Jalukie. It pointed out that doctors and medical staff treated patients to the best of their ability in spite of many constraints and as such, NIDA said that it expected due regard instead of harassment. The association demanded that appropriate action should be taken at the earliest by the concerned authority and ensure that such incidents do not re-occur against any government servants in future. It further stated that any complaint against its members should be addressed to the concerned authority instead of committing such “high handedness”.
