Chairman Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE), Kohima, Asano Sekhose in a press release has informed that HSSLC examination and class XI promotion examination for 2018 will commence from March 8 and HSLC Examination 2018 from the March 9.
According to DIPR, Sekhose has informed that in the HSSLC examination, 15281 candidates (arts-11339, commerce-1360, science-2582) have been enrolled and will be appearing from 54 provisional examination centres. Out of 15281 candidates, 7827 are girls and 7404 are boys. The stream-wise break up figures of boys and girls are – 5231 boys and 6108 girls in Arts, 873 boys and 487 girls in Commerce, 1300 boys and 1282 girls in Science, totaling 7404 boys and 7827 girls altogether.
Meanwhile, in Arts stream, regular candidates from 146 institutions are enrolled and in commerce and science stream, candidates are from 35 and 38 institutions. A total of 17704 students will also be appearing for class XI promotion examination.
In the HSLC examination, 10437 boys and 11275 girls will be appearing for the examination from 78 provisional examination centres and two sub-centres. 639 schools are presenting 18872 regular candidates for the HSLC examination, wherein, 2835 candidates are repeaters.
Further, the NBSE chairman informed that two students were appearing again to improve their result and there are three cases of change of centre. In the HSLC examination, Dimapur district have been recorded with the highest enrolment of 7094 candidates followed by Kohima district with 3619 candidates.
Meanwhile, NBSE has conveyed its best wishes to all the candidates and requested all to reach the examination centre in time.
It also requested all the centre superintendents and the invigilators to conduct the examinations as per the rules.
