DTE organises reception programme

Directorate of technical education (DTE) held a reception programme in honour of Temjen Imna Along, minister for higher & technical education, Nagaland. 
According to director technical education Er. Arjun Singh, while addressing the gathering, the minister stated that every employee was equal whether Director or peon and every assignment was important so everyone should work hard giving give their best for assigned duties.
“We are working for the welfare of the young generation and the people, the future of the younger generation and people lie in our hand”, Temjen stated. He added that today’s generation was not living as per expectations but youth and the younger generation should work hard with integrity.
While extending greetings from the Progressive Democratic Alliance (PDA), chief minister, deputy chief minister and government to the department, Along said that the vision of the chief minister was to bring changes with participation from young people.
Stressing that employees should attend office regularly and work sincerely, he remarked that the government will not pay employees who do not come to work, unless the employee was genuinely unwell.
Along added that for the past years, many government employees neglected their duties and wasted enough time, therefore, it was time to work hard and recover all the time wasted. 
In regards to fixed pay or casual employees who had been serving the department for many years, he stated that their cases would be taken up for regularization if they worked sincerely and contributed towards the department. 
Further, the minister also stressed on the students’ enrollment to be enhanced from the existing 650 to 2000 in the coming year. 
He also emphasized on pro activeness of the department in the usage of information technology. Lastly, he told the department that changes were coming and that he will be visiting the office from time to time mostly unannounced.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by director, Er. Arjun Singh, invocation said by Tiakaba Amer, project director, welcome address by Er. Khrieketoulie Rupreo, deputy director, brief report of the department by Er. Vipulhou Lhoungu, OSD, vote of thanks by Weprenyi Khutso, OSD and benediction by Er. Zhapulhoulie Rupreo, controller of exams.
