NSACS launches MMD & CAOC models

Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) on March 14 has launched Multi-Month Dispensation (MMD) and Co-located ART-OST Centre (CAOC) under Differentiated Service Delivery Models (DSDM) ARTC Plus Kohima.
A press release by deputy director (IIEC), Thejangunuo, informed that the models were launched by joint director (CST), Dr. Keneinguzo Dzüvichu.
In his speech, Dr. Keneinguzo said the objective of the two models was to decongest the ART centre by dispensing ART for three months to stable clients, improve ART coverage among PLHIV and key populations and to reduce the travel cost and travel time to access services. 
He also emphasised that all the PLHIV and staff of ART Centre should co-operate and respect each other for the success of the DSDM. 
Dr. Keneinguzo further informed that MMD will be implemented at ARTC plus Kohima & ARTC plus Dimapur and CAOC at FIDU CAD Foundation, Dimapur initially. 
Earlier, in a welcome address, state program coordinator I-TECH, Bendang Jamir, thanked all the stakeholders for the support received while developing the concept notes for the two models and during the site visits. 
He further stated that the success of the models depends on the continuous support and participation of all the stakeholders. He therefore called upon everyone to join hands and work for the success of DSDM.
