SASRD, NU conducts farmers training at Hekheshe village

AICRP (VC), Nagaland Centre, SASRD, NU under TSP (Tribal Sub Plan) conducted a farmer’s training on “Value Addition of Horticultural Crops” at its adopted village Hekheshe on March 27.
A press release by SASRD: NU Horticulture i/c TSP AICRP (VC), professor Akali Sema stated that the inaugural programme was graced by Dr. Rokolhuü Keditsü, assistant professor, department of Horticulture, SASRD, NU and it was chaired by Dr. Moakala Changkija, scientist, ICAR-AICRP (VC). 
After the inaugural function, a technical session-I on “Preparation of Chilli Pickle And Brinjal Pickle” was conducted by Dr. Rokolhuü Keditsü, assistant professor, department of horticulture, SASRD, NU. A technical session-II on “Squash and Jam Preparation” was also conducted by Dr. Rokolhuü Keditsü. 
Dr. Moakala Changkija conducted the wrap-up and fielded feedback from farmers where the farmers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to AICRP-Vegetable Crops, SASRD: NU. 
The farmers were also given packages containing various items required during processing and also seeds of summer vegetable crops. 
The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Waluniba, Scientist, ICAR-AICRP (VC). The training was attended by 71 farmer participants from Hekheshe village. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Waluniba, Dr. Aastik Jha and Dr. Moakala Changkija.
