KADTA alleges extra collection

April 11, 2018 | by admin

Karbi Anglong Dimapur Transporters Association (KADTA) has alleged that even after paying Rs.6000 at mohal, the Karbi Anglong Sand and Stone Mohaldar Union was collecting Rs 1500 extra at Deopani NH-39 without issuing receipt. In a press release, KADTA president, Anil Toppo, and secretary, Nito Sumi, cautioned that until the extra collection was stopped, the drivers would stop plying in Deopani and Koilamati areas for an indefinite period. The association stated that the decision was taken at a meeting with owners and drivers of sand carrier vehicles on April 11, 2018. The meeting also resolved that the payment should be made only at the mohal after the drivers choose the sand, they said.
